The middle school years represent a significant turning point and parents play an instrumental role in developing a girl’s self-worth and character. Here’s a heartfelt letter to my daughter with my best wisdom and advice to move through this new phase with hope and success.
It's that time of year again! One week to go and the kids are going stir crazy - part excitement, part anticipation, part anxiety. So what can you do to keep yourself in check, accomplish everything you need to accomplish, and tame the wild ones?
1. Start with a list of to dos.
2. Get the routine going.
3. Ensure you have personal time to unwind and recharge.
4. Emotionally prepare the kids for the start back.
5. Visualize how you want September 6th to go. Affirm to yourself that with its challenges it is another day in a new year that will ultimately turn out well.
